within 24 hours of my last post my brand shiny new and bIGGER AC was installed!!!!
this post is on irony not whining as I have become know to do
Our air conditioner in our apartment living room has been on the fritz since late autumn. We have been subject to a few 80 degree days already this year and it just doesn’t push out cold air. On Friday Tom stopped at maintenance and told them the problem–since more 80 degree days were predicted for the weekend. Of course he got there too late and they scheduled us for Tuesday. The air conditioner man has been here twice this morning and it worked beautifully each time he was here, In between nothing but hot air comes out. He said he will recommend we get a new one to the boss man because of our asthma related health issues but it will be a couple of weeks before he can get one.
We are not allowed to put in our own window AC’s. we can put in a room one which we have in the bedroom, but at 700$ a pop I can’t afford another one of them right now. =====so my inside attire will be tank tops and cut off shorts and hope no one drops by unannounced because no one needs to see that picture!!!
It seems every where I looked (Pinterest, Facebook, Ravelry) there was this cute pattern for a wreath that looked like a sun. It was crocheted and very doable but I wanted to see if I could KNIT the sun! It is now hanging on my front door and I could not be more pleased with the effort!
We know I love Tea and we know I love Knitting (and almost as much crocheting). Today i wanted to tell you about my experience with Rooibos Tea and its affect on my allergies.
Health benefits of red rooibos tea include its use as a cure for nagging headaches, insomnia, asthma, eczema, bone weakness, hypertension, allergies, and premature aging. The tea is absolutely free from caffeine content and is also low in tannins. You can enjoy the refreshing beverage all day long with no possible side effects. Drinking rooibos tea can further ease severe stomach cramps, as well as bring relief to asthma and other related conditions. It also boosts the immune system of the human body.
I drink a lot of Twinings Red Rooibos, I drink it hot, or iced and it really does relieve my sneezing, itchy throat and post nasal drip. I can’t take medication because of other help complications and I can easily tell when I am missing my Rooibos. I have also purchased it from Adagio, Republic of Tea and Teavana and of course Tazo. Some folks don’t care for it but I love it and am so grateful that it works for me.
On the knitting needles—I am knitting sunshine (to be revealed later) and a mitered baby blanket in blues for my friends from THIS post.
Their dream is coming true next month when they adopt their new son! I am so happy for them and I know what a blessing adoption is
